RUCDR (in collaboration with Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO) has been designated as the Center for Collaborative Genetic Studies for the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and the Center for Genetic Studies for the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).

RUCDR has also been designated as the Genetics Repository for the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) and it maintains the cell line and DNA collection for the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) Collaborative on the Genetics of Alcoholism.

In addition, RUCDR maintains Cell and DNA repositories for a number of private organizations, including Cure Autism Now/Autism Genetic Research Exchange (CAN/AGRE) and the Progeria Research Foundation (PRF).

Our success is attributable to the hard work, dedication, and professionalism of RUCDR scientific, administrative, and technical staff. RUCDR personnel take great pride in providing the scientific community with customized biomaterials, resources, and genotypic and phenotypic data.

RUCDR has experienced over an eight-fold increase in sample acquisition since its inception, in 1998, to 2004, and the repository continues to grow. There has been a commensurate increase in the number of DNA and cell line distributions to researchers in a variety of fields. We serve over 300 project sites around the world, a number that is steadily increasing.
