Cell Line Establishment and Maintenance
Lymphocyte Transformation From Whole Blood and Cryopreserved Lymphocytes
Lymphocyte cell lines (LCLs) are established from anticoagulated whole blood or cryopreserved lymphocytes utilizing Epstein Barr virus (EBV) as a transformation agent. This service includes expansion and cryopreservation of EBV transformed LCL stocks, testing of cryopreserved stocks to ensure viable LCLs, and Mycoplasma testing via real time PCR assay. On-site liquid nitrogen storage (LN2) includes storage in two separate locations, a main storage location and backup location in a separate building.
Stem Cell Laboratory Services
RUCDR Stem Cell Laboratory is a resource that provides the highest quality postnatal-to-adult human control and patient-derived somatic cells and their reprogrammed derivatives, such as induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs). The laboratory offers a variety of services ranging from derivation and banking of primary source cells from postnatal through adult human subject tissues to more comprehensive validation of iPSCs or similar reprogrammed/de-differentiated cells. We also offer reprogramming of source cells including, but not limited to, fibroblasts and lymphocytes. A wide range of quality control tests is available for the reprogrammed cells, from the assessment of pluripotency using whole genome transcriptomics and marker expression to genomic integrity evaluation using karyotyping and array CGH.
